Friend Indeed

                      Friend indeed I’ve never understood zeroth law until I met a friend of my friend And becomes my friend. Ruthless oceans, who separate continents? Loneliness blossomed in the mirror of your eyes, A stark reflection of a chasm we couldn't disguise. Our vows, once whispered, now scattered on the breeze, Emptied promises, rustling through the trees.   I saw it all, a silent, knowing gaze, The unspoken truth in every fleeting phase. A fragile vessel, my heart, unable to bear, The weight of this knowledge, a despair beyond compare. For in your eyes, a universe I yearned to explore, Now a desolate expanse, forevermore.
